Ukrainian Armor took part in the First dialogue on cooperation in the defense industry between Ukraine and Brazil

As part of the official visit of the Brazilian delegation to Ukraine, Ukraine held a demonstration of locally-produced defense equipment at the International Inter-Agency Multifunctional Training Center of the National Guard of Ukraine on December 4. Ukrainian Armor was one of the companies to attend the event.

The Federative Republic of Brazil’s delegates had the opportunity to examine MRAP Varta and SAV Novator, 60 mm, 82 mm, and 120 mm mortar launchers, ZU-23 AD system, as well as Varta-based mortar carrier vehicle.

“Ukraine enters the global defense equipment market as an emerging and promising player. The products of Ukrainian companies increasingly arouse heightened interest in Africa, Asia, and LATAM, – noted Dmytro Poliakov, First Deputy Director-General at Ukrainian Armor. –. Lately, Ukraine and Brazil signed a Memorandum of Understanding on scientific and technical cooperation in the defense sector and commoditization of defense products. This fact proves our country does have potential. Given that the government provides the industry with the all-out support, we may soon regain our position among the global defense leaders.”

The delegates appreciated the dynamic and technical performance of SAV Novator and named power, maneuvering capability, and small dimensions among the vehicle’s key competitive advantages.

Lastly, the delegation head – Marcos Rosas Degaut Pontes, Head of the Secretariat of Defense Products Department of the Ministry of Defense of Brazil, – run the MRAP Varta off-road test drive.
