Ukrainian Armor conducted tests of a universal mount for large-caliber machine guns DShK, NSV and Browning for MRAP Varta, APC Novator and other wheeled vehicles.
The need to develop such a product arose at the request of the military, who operate armored vehicles manufactured by our company. For the Ukrainian Armor, it means the development of a new product. The development of the mount was carried out together with a partner.
“The main task is to achieve maximum accuracy, speed and convenience in the work of the machine gunner who uses our vehicle. And, of course, the safety of the gunner. To protect the soldier from enemy bullets and debris, a rotating platform with armor protection elements will be installed on the vehicle. The mount will be assembled inside the platform,” the developers say.
After testing at the training ground, the company’s specialists will take into account all the comments and suggestions of the military, and in the near future the mount will be ready for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard.
