“Ukrainian Armor has developed an FPV drone with a 60 mm ammunition. This was announced in an interview with Forbes Ukraine by Vladyslav Belbas, director general of Ukrainian Armor LLC.

“We have developed an FPV drone with 60 mm ammunition. We are working on this together with the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They are already gradually destroying russians. The Ministry of Defense is currently testing it,” Belbas shared the details.

According to him, the company is not just entering the UAV market, but is trying to find a unique niche to bring real benefits to the front.

“We don’t want to just repeat what dozens of companies are already doing, but are looking for innovative solutions that will give us a competitive advantage and bring real benefits to the front. Since we do not create ammunition from scratch, but adapt existing ones, this is the key, not the wings,” says the company’s director general.

Ukrainian Armor uses the body of a 60-mm mine, which is now less used at the front, as the basis for the FPV drone. Such a munition does not require scarce fuzes.

“Just attach the motors, wings and battery, and it is easy to scale up to millions of units,” explained Belbas.

According to him, this is a unique solution that allows the use of standard mortar ammunition, significantly reducing the cost of producing drones with ammunition.

The company is also working on ground-based unmanned platforms that can perform logistics, reconnaissance and strike functions.

“It is important for us not just to create a drone, but to integrate it into a comprehensive system that includes artillery, communications, and control systems,” director general added.
