Novator armored vehicles demonstrate good combat capabilities while performing tasks on the front line, soldiers of the 117th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine share their experience of using our vehicles.

“It can overcome swampy terrain and softened fields, of course, the speed is not the same as on the highway, but it is quite decent. On a normal road, it tears up. If the FPV drones attack, there is a much better chance to escape from them,” the soldiers say.

The military positively evaluate the reliability of the APC Novator, its maneuverability, high level of protection and note that the Ukrainian armored vehicle is in no way inferior to its Western counterparts, and in some respects is better.

In particular, the soldiers compare the Novator to the Canadian Rochelle Senator, which the unit received as part of international military and technical assistance: “I have ridden both Rochelle and Novator. I can already compare them. The main advantage of the Ukrainian vehicle is its chassis. The Novator has springs at the rear, so it is much softer on holes. And the Rochelle has springs, so it throws a lot on bad roads… The obvious disadvantage of the Canadian is the high center of mass at the back, and if you drive carelessly and turn sharply, you can roll over on your side. Plus, the car likes to get stuck, it’s hard for it to handle our muddy roads,” says Konstantin, the driver of the Novator.
