Changes in management at “Ukrainian Armor”

In connection with the implementation of the development program of modern exemplars of wheel and track equipment and weapons systems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces and also the approval of new export strategies of “Ukrainian Armor”, the position of the Director General was introduced. Currently, the design and manufacturing company is headed by Vladislav Belbas.

Vladislav Belbas has a reputation for being a very effective manager and extensive experience in the automotive and international military equipment and weapons markets. For several years, he headed the Commercial Car and Bus Division at “Hyundai Motor Ukraine”, worked as the Deputy Director of the plant in Lutsk, and successfully implemented a plan to locate a Hyundai brand car assembly plant in Cherkasy. Prior to his transition to “Ukrainian Armor», from 2014 he was Deputy Director of the state-owned special exporter company “SpecTechnoExport”, which is a part of “Ukroboronprom”. In the fall of 2018, he was appointed Director of “SpecTechnoExport”. Under the leadership of Vladislav, a record growth in economic indicators of the state exporter took place; in 2018-2019, the company became the market leader in revenue.

The key task of the new Director General of “Ukrainian Armor” is to organize the development and production of modern models of armored wheeled and tracked vehicles and weapons for the Ukrainian army, as well as to actively promote the company’s products in foreign markets.

“Ukrainian Armor” manufactures two successful multipurpose armored platforms “Novator” and “Varta”. The task of the company at the current stage – on the basis of these armored vehicles, as well as wheeled and tracked exemplars under development, to create a complete line of vehicles equipped with various weapon systems and equipment to perform in a wide range of combat missions facing different types of troops – Vladislav Belbas. “This approach will not only satisfy the diverse needs of  the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also occupy a decent niche in foreign markets.”
