In late November, wheeled armored fighting vehicles Kamrat M equipped with LRAD-1000Xi Long Range Acoustic Devices took part in the MIA joint special tactical training exercises held under special frontier operation Polissia launched by Ukrainian security agencies on the Ukraine-Belarus border.

“The National Guard and the Armed Forces of Ukraine have come to the understanding that our armored vehicles may be actively used to pull a vat selection of missions – noted Vladislav Belbas, General Director at Ukrainian Armor. – We believe that the defense industry’s future belongs to the adaptable multipurpose wheeled armored platforms. Therefore, we welcome the solution to equip Karmat M with acoustic devices.”

Back in August 2021, the Ukrainian Armor became the finalist of the Sikorsky Challenge. The company applied an investment project of engineering Kamrat M-based exchangeable modular hardware to promptly transform armored vehicles.

Moreover, equipped with various armaments, a variety of Kamrat L and Kamrat M modifications were demonstrated on the military parade to mark the 30th Independence day of Ukraine.

On November 23, 2021, the active phase of special frontier operation Polissia began. It is coordinated by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and is conducted jointly with the forces of the National Guard, the National Police, the Armed Forces, and other involved reserves. Currently, training is held in 5 regions bordering the Republic of Belarus.

LRAD-1000Xi (American Technology Corporation) is a non-lethal weapon that uses directionality and focused acoustic output on transmitting critical information, instructions, and warnings up to distances of 3,000 meters in many environments. Through the use of powerful voice commands and deterrent tones, large safety zones can be created while determining the intent and influencing the behaviour of an intruder.
