From 19 to 24 December, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted official comparative testing of new and upgraded models of automotive and armored vehicles. As a result, the Armed Forces Commission will submit proposals for the further supply of the best of the armored vehicles to the Ukrainian armed forces.
Three manufacturers provided their products for demonstration purposes. Four trial models took part in the testing: specialized armored vehicles the “VARTA” and “NOVATOR” from LLC “Ukrainian armor “, The combat armored car “Dozor-B” from Kharkiv design bureau of mechanical engineering named after A. Morozov and The modernized Ukrainian-Polish armored vehicle Oncilla from LLC “Research and Production Company VK Systems”.
The testing was conducted in three stages.
The first stage, which took place on December 19 – 20 at the AvtoKrAZ test and demonstration ground, the vehicles demonstrated the possibilities of overcoming the main obstacles. The APC “VARTA” and “NOVATOR” confidently and on the first attempt passed the test route, fully confirming the stated patency and tactical characteristics.
The second stage was a column march the route Kremenchug to Teterivka of Zhytomyr region. In total, the vehicles covered 520 km on the highway.
During the third stage, December 23-24, at the 37th All-Army Landing Forces, vehicles were tested in simulated extreme conditions, tested for ergonomics of the airborne units, and demonstrated fire capabilities. Ukrainian Armored Vehicles completed the demonstration without any question.

Today, December 26, the Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Major-General Sergey Krivonos arrived at the testing range, who personally inspected the demonstration models and heard the conclusions of the Armed Forces Commission.
