Specialized Ukrainian armored vehicles: “Varta” (Design and Manufacturing Company «Ukrainian Armor»), “Bars” (SE “ASZ №22” of Bogdan Motors, JSC), “Kozak-2” (Scientific and Production Association “Praktika”), “Triton” (“Plant “Leninska Kuznia” JSC), “Shrek” and “Spartan” (AvtoKrAZ, PJSC) participated in trials.

During the testing, the commission consisting of representatives of law enforcement bodies of Ukraine and armored cars manufacturers checked cross-country characteristics, namely the maximum angle of ascent of the vehicle, the maximum angle of heel, the fording depth, the ability of the car to stay on the descent, agility and dynamic characteristics in boundary load conditions and the compliance of these characteristics with the specification requirements.

It should be noted that the armored car “Varta” belongs to MRAP class (mine resistant ambush protected), with an armored engine and a capsule that is designed to protect the crew from being blown up by a land mine with strength up to 6 kg and against armor-piercing ignition short cartridge 7.62 at a distance of 10 m. It has successfully overcome all obstacles of a specialized training range and proved that it can travel where specialized vehicles of other representation manufacturers are not able to drive.

It should be recalled that based on the results of the departmental tests the commission will select the best armored car model for the needs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Police, the National Guard and special divisions of the armed forces.
