«Scheduled load of all possible capacities is the key to the development of production», – Belbas

Long-term contracts and even load of production capacities will make it possible to scale up the existing production of weapons and military equipment and will give impetus to the active development of the Ukrainian military-industrial complex.

This was stated in an interview with “Donbas. Realities” program, said Vladyslav Belbas, director general of Ukrainian Armor LLC.

“Scheduled load of all possible capacities is very important for manufacturers. This allows the production machine to work evenly. When we have orders for vehicles, for example, we produce a significant amount every month. When this order is stopped, there is a pause of 4-6 months due to the peculiarities of the supply of components. When we have a planned order, it gives us the opportunity to develop production,” says Vladyslav Belbas.

According to him, the production of some components for mortars takes more than 5 months, while the production of components for armored vehicles takes more than 7 months.

He also states that bureaucracy remains a constraint to the development of the national defense industry.

“Unfortunately, the bureaucratic process we had has not gone away. It is officially declared that it has become easier to set up a production facility and pass tests. In fact, titanic shifts have occurred only in the field of unmanned systems. We have not yet experienced any dramatic changes or simplification in weapons,” says Vladyslav Belbas.
