On November 15, the procedure of handing over to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine the consignment of specialized armored vehicles Novator started. These modern armored vehicles are designed and manufactured by the Ukrainian Armor Company on the request of the Defence Ministry of Ukraine.

Officers and fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – Marines, Airborne Assault Forces, Special Operations Forces, and Military Intelligence – as well as officers of the Special Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Alfa”, the State Border Service and the special unit of the National Police KORD.

Novator is designed to meet the modern requirements of special-purpose units using a suspension that is adapted for use in difficult off-road conditions with a 4 × 4 wheel formula and 6.7-liter turbo diesel engine. The vehicle has a curb weight of 7.5 tonnes and a load capacity of 1.35 tonnes and is able to overcome water obstacles of up to 1.4 m deep and also develops a highway speed of 140 to 170 km / h , depending on the type of engine. Confidently maneuvers the road with perfect even loading on the front and rear axles. The Novator course on rough terrain is 700 km, on highways – 1000 km.

“We are trying not only to provide our vehicles with a wide range of technical capabilities but also to make them as comfortable as possible in operation so that end-users feel comfortable and can fully focus on the performance of combat missions,” said Alexander Kuzma, Director of Ukrainian Armor LLC.

Simultaneously with the transfer of the order for the representatives of the Ministry of Defence was the demonstration of Novator with a combat module “Iva”, equipped with a 12.7 mm caliber machine gun. Specially designed to increase cross-country accessibility of the APC a unique suspension was designed that is able to change clearance to 80 mm to overcome obstacles and off-road driving. Also, this version of the Novator comes with a fully automatic centralized tire inflation system. Modification is already available for ordering.

Earlier, within the framework of the exhibition “Arms and Security-2019”, Ukrainian Armor presented “Novator”, equipped with the anti-tank complex “Amulet”. The combat module can also be equipped with a 7.62 mm machine gun. At the request of the customer, the vehicle can be equipped with a pneumatic suspension.
