Lately, the Ukrainian Armor team headed by Vladislav Belbas, Director-General, welcomed Staff Colonel Amr Farouk, the newly-appointed Egyptian Defense Attaché, at the company’s technical base in Novi Petrivtsi.
Especially for the foreign guest, Ukrainian Armor organized a FAM tour through the production facilities, demonstrated competitive technical features, and presented its product portfolio, namely armored vehicles, artillery, and ammunition.
Staff Colonel Amr Farouk put an increased focus on BMP-1 and BMP-2 modernization projects currently headed and coordinated by Mikhail Mosin.
“Shortly after his appointment, Staff Colonel Amr Farouk decided to visit Ukraine and size the production and modernization capabilities of Ukrainian military company’s, – noted Vladislav Belbas, Ukrainian Armor Director-General. – This fact proves that the Arab Republic of Egypt is interested in Ukrainian military commodity and sees its potential.”
For years, Egypt has been a traditional market for Ukraine’s defense-industrial complex. Therefore, Ukrainian Armor regards Egypt to be a viable foreign contractor.
