Ukrainian Armor is capable of supplying the army with self-propelled antitank missiles based on wheeled platforms

Ukrainian Armor supplies the Armed Forces of Ukraine with modern self-propelled antitank missile complexes. De facto, the company is the country’s only supplier of such military equipment.

Wheeled armored fighting vehicle Novator (equipped with self-propelled antitank missiles Skif (Stugna)) and MRAP Varta (equipped with FGM-148 Javelin) were demonstrated during the military parade on Ukraine’s 30th Independence Day.

Novator-based self-propelled antitank missile complex Skif is currently completing research and development stages. At the same time, Varta-based FGM-148 Javelins are being operated by functional units of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“Innovative warfare revealed the need to increase the mobility of antitank detachments and form mechanized antitank infantry units, – noted Vladislav Belbas, Director General at Ukrainian Armor. – The Soviet 9П148 complexes with Konkurs missiles based on BRDM-2 and Shturm-C are outdated. The army should rapidly replace them with modern off-road wheeled armored platforms equipped with weapon stations such as Skif and all-weather fire control systems.”

Ukrainian Armor is the sole local manufacturer of wheeled platforms for antitank units. Apart from T-64 tanks and the only T-84 Oplot tank, the company’s military equipment is authorized for operation in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
