Ukrainian Armor LLC is working on joint projects with foreign partners to organize the repair and maintenance of western vehicles.

This was stated by Vladyslav Belbas, director general of Ukrainian Armor LLC, in the program “War and Weapons” by Serhiy Zgurts.

“Establishing logistical support for the repair and maintenance of vehicles used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces has an important impact on the army’s combat capability. Starting from the second half of 2023, many manufacturers are working to engage local companies, either from the private sector or Ukroboronprom, to establish joint ventures to organize service and supply spare parts. Our company is also involved in such work with American companies and Turkish companies. This process is underway,” said Vladyslav Belbas, director general of Ukrainian Armor LLC.

According to him, defense forums organized by the Ministry of Strategic Industries have a positive impact on such processes, as such platforms, communication with ukrainian manufacturers, give western partners a certain understanding of who they can work with in the ukrainian market.

According to Belbas, it is necessary to reduce the bureaucracy of such processes and increase direct communication between ukrainian and foreign manufacturers.

“The segment of repair and maintenance of foreign vehicles is interesting for domestic producers, as it will provide an opportunity to get acquainted with the technologies and operating experience of foreign partners,” says Belbas, adding that it will not be easy for ukrainian producers to get such a cooperation opportunity: “For this, you need to have certain competencies, production capabilities, trained personnel, and be ready to invest in special equipment, tools, and premises.”
