“Ukrainian Armor” LLC signed the Principles of Veteran-Friendly Business.
“This is a wonderful initiative that responds to public demand and simultaneously solves several important problems. First, it supports veterans, their employment, adaptation, and the creation of a comfortable environment for them. Second, it will help solve the acute staffing problem faced by military-industrial complex enterprises. Who else but defense companies, which interact closely with the military on a daily basis, can create an adapted environment for those who defended our country to return to civilian life?” said Maksym Polivyany, Deputy Director General of “Ukrainian Armor” LLC, who represented the company at an event organized by the Ministry of Strategic Industries and the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
According to Polivyany, creating favorable conditions for veterans and promoting the development of their potential is a priority not only for military-industrial complex enterprises, but also for all socially responsible businesses.
“The experience of “Ukrainian Armor”, which since its inception has involved both military personnel and veterans in the development, production, and testing of its products, shows that people with combat experience who understand the realities of war on the battlefield are a valuable asset for defense industry enterprises,” Polivyany added.
The principles of business friendly to veterans, which have been signed by more than 40 private companies, provide for the development of a veteran-friendly corporate culture; the development of inclusive workspaces, services, and products; programs to support veterans’ families; fair conditions for recruitment and return to work; and support for veteran businesses and communities.
