Last week Ukrainian Armor welcomed the delegation of the National Directorate of Security of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan headed by Wahidi Nazar Ali Khan, First Deputy National Directorate of Security.
During the visit, the delegates intended to examine the company’s product portfolio and conduct negotiations on the military equipment and weapon delivery to the Afghan defense agencies.
The delegation vested interest in the supply of MRAP wheeled equipment, mortar launchers and mortar rounds, as well as maintenance of infantry fighting vehicles, tanks, and armored personnel carriers.
“Historically, Ukraine and Afghanistan have strong commercial relations in the security and defense sector, – noted Dmytro Polyakov, First Deputy Director General at Ukrainian Armor. – Our products made a great impression upon the delegates. We hope that soon Ukrainian defense equipment and weapons will be helping the Afghan military carry out combat missions and ensure national security.”
The Parties signed the Protocol of Intent and, therefore, formalized the mutual commitment to continue negotiations directly with the delegations of the defense agencies of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
