Under long-term contracts, Ukrainian Armor will be able to increase production several times.
This was stated by Vladyslav Belbas, director general of Ukrainian Armor LLC, in an interview with Hromadske.
“As a company, we do not need any additional funds from the state to expand production. We need a contract for two years, for example. In this case, we will be able to increase production several times from our own working capital. When there is a fixed order, even with some limited funding, we can organize and plan the production process in advance, as some components take more than 7-8 months to be delivered,” he said.
According to him, such planning is important for any private manufacturer in the absence of government support programs.
“As of the third year of the war, no private manufacturer has received any investment from the state for equipment, relocation or construction, except perhaps compensation for destroyed property. There have been no programs to expand production,” states Belbas.
The director general of Ukrainian Armor added that the company currently produces Novator armored vehicles, 60-, 82-, and 120-mm mortars, and mortar rounds for them.
“In some segments, for example, if we are talking about mines, ukrainian production is comparable to the western one, but it is important that domestic enterprises pay taxes, fees and salaries in Ukraine, thus supporting the Ukrainian economy,” stated Belbas.
