“What matters now is not who made the weapons, but how much of it gets to the front. And the second is its final cost for the Ukrainian budget. If a product is Ukrainian but much more expensive than a foreign one, the military will receive fewer weapons or military equipment. That is why our strategy does not focus exclusively on domestic production. Volumes are more important now.”
Vladyslav Belbas, Director General of Ukrainian Armor LLC, said in an interview with UNIAN.
According to him, Ukrainian Armor is increasing the production of ammunition.

“We don’t have a long history of this supply, it’s hard to compare by year. In 2022, there was nothing yet. In 2023, we were just launching production abroad. 2024 is a year of growth. And we are growing, of course, many times over. We are talking about hundreds of thousands of rounds per year,” he said.

“For example, we produce mortar rounds at several plants and are constantly expanding this production at the expense of other foreign plants. We have recently acquired a new partner for 120 mm rounds,” he added.
