Open access to data on defense companies will slow down the entry of Western companies to the Ukrainian market, – Belbas

Open access to data on defense companies will slow down the entry of Western companies into the Ukrainian market.
This was stated in an interview with Suspilne. Novyny, the director general of Ukrainian Armor LLC, Vladyslav Belbas.

In his opinion, in the current circumstances, Western companies will find it “harder” to come to Ukraine, as investing in open locations is very risky.

“Closing data on defense companies is a very complex issue that requires a comprehensive approach. As a democracy, we have fairly open reporting, and this is really important. We understand that closing the registers may lead to a decrease in public control over the processes taking place in the defense industry. But the physical destruction of defense enterprises will have extremely negative consequences for the frontline,” said Belbas.

According to him, Ukrainian manufacturers of weapons and military equipment have repeatedly appealed to various government agencies and services to solve the problem of closing data on defense companies, but the issue has not been resolved.
